Who Wants Be Nouveau Riche?
November 19, 2008Almost everybody wants to be rich, even rich people itself wants be richer but not everybody who wants to be rich get rich. Most of the world’s “old” billionaires were people with “old money” which they inherit from their ancestors, and the world’s “new” billionaires were people who succeeded in their business or their careers. The lives of this Nouveau Riche are the living testimony that there is always a chance to improve our life and our status of living.
We heard many true “rags to riches” stories which limelight the success story of a poor man or woman rising to wealth and fame giving us faith that there is always a chance to be one of those Nouveau Riche. Nouveau Riche by the way is a French term which literally means “new rich”, this also use to refer a person who rise from poverty and acquire substantial wealth with his own effort.
Most of this Nouveau Riche people are business entrepreneur who dare to dream and rise above the challenge. Discipline, shrewd, persistence, diligence, focus, and never say die attitude are the common attitude of this successful people. Businessmen or businesswomen who succeeded in their field are the people who know how to identify opportunity and how to act on for their advantage. These Nouveau Riche makes our economy strong, thus in result they also make our country strong.
Let me cite some people who rise from rags to riches like John D. Rockefeller, Henry Ford, Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook.com), Oprah Winfrey, Chun Ju-Yung (Hyundia), Tsai Wan-Lin (Cathay Life Insurance), Ben and Heather Echevarria, Charles Hosea and many more. I, myself, still believe and doesn’t loss hope that I could be one of this Nouveau Riche. All I need is the right attitude to reach this goal.
