The Confession of the Poker Idiot

It is humbling, yet quite embarrassing to admit that I am completely and absolutely ignorant on some things.  I prided myself as a “jane-of-all-trades”, a person who has a bits and pieces on almost everything.  I may not be an expert to many of those things yet, I am always sure that I have a working knowledge about anything and everything that an average person ought to know.  Well, that was before my friends invited me to a poker party.  That poker party makes me realize that I am a mere mortal, that there are things that I should know but unfortunately I failed to know. 

Almost everyone in this world knows how to play a poker, it is considered as the most popular card game in the world.  Even kids and less educated person know how to play this famous card game, except me.  I am absolutely ignorant about poker, this is quite embarrassing but I should admit that I am a poker IDIOT.  Yep, that’s right idiot in bold and in all caps, because that is what I am.  The only thing I knew about it, is that it is a card game. Period, and nothing else. 

I don’t want to be a poker idiot all my life.  I refuse to be poker idiot!  And the only thing to improve this is for me study, to learn how to play that damn card game.  With the help of my friends and the online site that I discovered the www.onlinepokertutor.com, I’m starting to grasp some concept of this exciting game.  I am now reading the importance of bluffing in poker.  Well, the www.onlinepokertutor.com is quite an informative site.  I should say they are the authority on instructional guide to playing poker online.  They have instructional guide for beginners and idiots like me, as well as to the advance poker player.

Right now, I’m proud to say that I am not a poker idiot anymore.  I know about the basic poker rules and how to play the Texas Hold’em.  Poker is exciting but bless me, I still don’t like gambling.
